Worship
A prayer from the Celtic tradition
Calm me, O Lord, as you calmed the storm;
Still me, O Lord, keep me from harm.
Let all the tumult within me cease,
Enfold me Lord, in your peace. Amen.
Our gatherings for worship each Sunday and during the week are a vital part of what it means for us to be church.
You are most welcome at any of our services, whether you are a regular church-goer or have never been before.
Our worship draws on the great wealth of our Anglican tradition, with liturgy and songs old and new.
We have a Eucharist (Holy Communion) at St. Christopher’s at 9.30 a.m. and at Christ Church at 11 a.m. every Sunday, with occasional joint services.
We provide activities for children during our main services with our Sticky Fingers group at Christ Church and Bible Explorers at St Christopher.
We also have regular all-age services and prayers for healing at both churches.
Accessibility
Large-print bulletin sheets with the day’s readings are available at all services. We have loop systems for those who use hearing aids at both churches. Our church buildings both have ramps to enable access for those with mobility impairments/those using wheelchairs. St Christopher’s and Christ Church Hall also have accessible toilets. For any queries regarding accessibility please contact us by email or give us a ring.
